About Michael Grounds established the company that carries his name in 1978. He started his business in a small workshop, working by himself, later employing another jeweller who is still with him today. Business steadily built up by word of mouth due to the quality, reliable service and competitive prices offered by the company. As demand grew more space was required to service this demand, hence the move to Thomastown in 1992. The new showrooms provide clients with modern viewing facilities for a wide range of quality jewellery. At the rear of the showroom is the workshop area where a staff of 5 craftsmen, including Michael and his son David create their individual pieces. David Grounds successfully completed his Jewellers Apprenticeship, registered Valuers and gemmological certificates and is qualified to handle all Insurance quotes and claims. He is also a JAA Registered Valuer and a member of the Jewellers Association.
